Kin Skullcrusher, like many of his pride, lived a peaceful life. He was a part of a monastery that focused on the strength within the spirit and body, something that all Oryn seek to achieve. He had mastered enough of the art when his brothers asked him to help investigate a strange rift that had appeared at the edge of their land. Curiosity getting a hold of him as it often does, he went to investigate.

At this “Great Schism” many gathered wondering what it could be. Several in the group had entered and had yet to return, so many were unsure what to do. Suddenly the rift widened, sucking him into it as with anyone who were close enough.

When he awoke, he saw many of his kind having not survived the journey, and others scattering for they had fallen amit a war. His group quickly found the side that would shelter them, the dwarves, and began allying themselves to their cause as they grew fond of them.

Kin, suffered greatly for his pride was important to him. His spirit raged, and caused him to lash out at several around him, and he lost his mind for a time. It was then that he would be found brawling in a tavern by an old dwarf, who wrestled him into submission, calmed him (by petting behind the ears), and then counseled him, giving him something that he currently lacked… Hope. He came to know this man as a brother and entered his home, and fought along side him in the war.

After some time, Kin realized that Korvan may hold some secrets to help his people return home, and he was advised to take up the role of a mercenary with a group that works very closely with the dwarves, the Sutlers, which will allow him to travel in search of people that may be able to help them. As such, this is how he became a resident of Lathotep.

After having completed several missions successfully, the Lathotep temple is where he was stationed for his mercenary duties and to allow himself to tune himself back to the inner peace needed to focus his abilities. As such, he trained and journeyed and finally meet a man by the name of Faelon Grimwood. He was not like many that he had meet, being that he was not easily defeated in a fight, something that he enjoyed about him. They soon became fast friends, and they went on missions together for the Sutler group.
